Romania

Before I mention wherever the tourist spot in Romania are, I would like to give you an overview about this country. Romania is a country located at the intersection of Central and Southeastern Europe, bordering on the Black Sea. Romania shares a border with Hungary and Serbia to the west, Ukraine and Moldova to the northeast and east, and Bulgaria to the south. The capital city is Bucharest.

In term of geography, the country is mountainous in the north while the main feature in the south is the vast Danube valley. The river forms a delta as it approaches the Black Sea, which is a wildlife reserve for countless native and migratory birds.

The Romanian parliament consists of two chambers, the Senat (Senate) and theCamera DeputaĊ£ilor (Chamber of Deputies). The members of both are chosen in elections held every four years.

In this country, giving birth is free. As soon as mothers give birth, they are entitled to vacation. They receive aid which amounts 75% of their net income, without a limit being set. After the age of two, children receive an allowance up until the age of 18, although they must attend school in order to receive it.

Ethnically, the population is 90% Romanian and 7% Hungarian. The Romanian language, like a number of others in southern Europe, is directly descended from Latin, although Romania is separated from other Romance-language countries by Slav speakers. Romania has considerable natural resources – oil, natural gas, coal, iron, copper and bauxite. Metal-working, petrochemicals and mechanical engineering are the main industries.
